An Archive of Time: Hogeschool voor de kunsten Utrecht thesis
The following is an examination of concepts surrounding the passage of time and is divided into three chapters. “Nostalgia” deals with the way we romanticize the past and lost ideas of the future. “Speculation” examines the way in which we imagine the future and how this is translated in art and design. “Anticipation” is the process of waiting and the observation of the present. “Anticipation” also deals with the space between past and future. These concepts act as a connection between these abstract ideas and their more literal interpretations.
